As consumers continue to pressure businesses to increase their diversity and inclusion standards, companies are beginning to realize that they must “walk the talk.” This is causing businesses to consider how they can fulfill the goals they’ve outlined in the various pledges and commitments they’ve made. While pledging to make a change is an excellent first step, an analytically driven approach that targets specific pain points is necessary for true progress. Without the data to back up claims about diversity improvements, companies risk employee dissatisfaction, poor company culture, social media backlash, or a PR crisis.

That’s where Diversio Certification comes in.

What is the Diversio Certification?

The Diversio Certification is the Global Standard for Inclusion. It displays to your employees, investors, and customers that your organization views inclusion as a key performance driver and risk factor, and that you are “walking the talk”.

At the beginning of your certification process, you’ll be paired with a team of passionate D&I professionals from Diversio that are invested in your success. We’ll aid you in collecting and measuring both diversity and inclusion data on an ongoing basis, making sure that you’ve set meaningful targets to increase D&I at all levels and are continuing to implement programs and policies to unlock specific challenges. This demonstrates a true, measurable D&I commitment to your people.

⅓ of millennials have already left their company for a more inclusive one, and 49% say they will leave within 2 years. This raises the question: “The future is inclusive: Are you?”

How does Certification impact you & your organization?

1) Increased Executive-Level Commitment to D&I

Modern Niagara increased the executive-level commitment to D&I with our Diversio Analytics product as a part of their certification. Equipped with Diversio recommendations, Modern Niagara took swift action to set a new industry standard and combat forms of harassment that are commonplace in the construction industry. Within a year, the executive level had tripled their budget allocated to D&I and each took accountability over a subset of D&I goals.

2) Improved Culture

With HGGC, we diagnosed challenges in team cohesion, inclusive leadership, and recruitment of women candidates. Given these challenges, we crafted a bespoke set of solutions that led to a dedicated committee. This committee rolled out a sponsorship program as well as a summer internship program for underrepresented groups to make a lasting impact on company culture.

3) Dismantle Organizational Barriers

A U.S. asset manager had a lack of sponsors for women who were interested in their development. After a year of implementing Diversio’s recommended solutions, they doubled the number of women in leadership positions. In addition, they increased gender diversity throughout the organization and moved into the 1st quartile for Access to Networks Inclusion KPI. Barriers like these remain hidden within the organization over time but our certification and software make them visible and fixable.

4) Secured a Competitive Advantage

We were able to help a Series A technology company secure a competitive advantage after diagnosing that managers were exhibiting bias against women and POC, in addition to employees not feeling valued by their team. After eight months of implementing Diversio’s recommended solutions, the percentage of women and POC that felt their managers were fair and supportive increased to 90%. There was also a 150% increase in diverse talent being attracted as a result of their D&I commitments being publicized through our Certification program.

Client Testimonials

One of the key metrics that Diversio utilizes to drive our approach is the degree of client satisfaction. Our Client Success team works tirelessly to maintain a Net promoter score above 80. We are constantly assessing how to improve the Diversio experience by collecting feedback and testimonials from our clients.

City of Toronto

The power the Diversio certification has to influence a company is evident based on our work with the City of Toronto. John Tory, Toronto Mayor, says “I am proud that the City’s ongoing commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace is being recognized through Diversio Certification.” The city was able to essentially codify the progress that they have been making through their various initiatives. The mayor continues to describe its impact, “This new standard provides the workforce at the City and our residents a sense of confidence that we are working hard to make an inclusive public sector. As one of the most diverse cities in the world, it’s so important, now more than ever, that the Toronto Public Service reflects the communities that it serves. I look forward to the implementation of the recommendations brought forward by Diversio which will not only enhance our workforce but ensure that we are striving to make it better than before.”

OLG

Another client that has benefitted from a Diversio Certification and workforce dashboard is the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. The Director of Equity, Tyjondah Kerr describes the impact it has had, “Ensuring our people are educated, they have the resources they need, and everyone as a collective need to work together to ensure this work gets done. When you see that data, ensure everyone is on board, it is transparent, and how everyone can play their part in ensuring an inclusive workspace. When we look at our data, it is about aligning it with our strategic business priorities. Diversio data allows us to do when we are thinking about our people because, at the end of the day, it is the people who are going to do our work and ensure our priorities get delivered”.

Accenture

Similarly, we have worked closely with Accenture Canada to deliver insights about inclusive culture and provide them with a Diversio Certification. Jeffrey Russel, President of Accenture in Canada, explains how this led to tangible change, “At Accenture, inclusion and diversity are fundamental to our culture, and we know that our rich diversity makes us smarter and more innovative, and also helps us better serve the needs of our people, clients, and communities. Rigorous data and analytics have played a fundamental role in helping us achieve our workforce goals at Accenture and we’re honoured to be recognized with this inaugural certification through Diversio’s award-winning data-driven recommendation engine”.
